Sofa by Ludvig Pontoppidan
Denmark, c1940s
An elegant two seat sofa by Danish cabinetmaker Ludvig Pontoppidan. The sofa features curved edges and sloped arms, mahogany legs and upholstered seat, back and sides.
The frame is sturdy, the feet have some scuffing but no chips or damage. The upholstery is tired with some holes. This sofa is a great candidate for restoration and can be brought back to its former elegance with some work.
