Cocobolo Rosewood Sling Swinger Chairs by Don Shoemaker

An iconic pair of “sling swinger” chairs by Don Shoemaker. The cocobolo rosewood wooden frame has a beautiful grain, and is in original condition. Not marked.

The suspended seats seem to have been previously reupholstered in a light colored fabric and is in fair condition with no holes or tears. Both chairs are missing a peg, and the remaining pegs are chipped, however this does not affect the structure and is characteristic of their age and use. The frame is sturdy and solid and free of damage. There is some discoloration to the arm rests from spilled liquid or other uses. Overall, these chairs are in great vintage condition, but would benefit from some TLC to bring them back to their full glory.
